  • Current Projects

By growing closer to God through Jesus Christ, we are naturally called and inspired to find ways to serve others. There are a great variety of ways you can engage in missions and outreach in our local community and world, and these are just a few that Trinity Heights regularly partners with.

  • As we Joyfully approach this Lenten season we are excited to be partnering with Chinle Planting Hope. Chinle Planting Hope is an engaged organization that equips Native Americans to pursue God’s love and justice. Their teams build community with dignity and hope.

Consider the Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian faith, service and simplicity. As Trinity Heights UMC Missions committee, we’ve designed ways for you to live out these Spiritual Disciplines! These options allow you to easily and directly support Chinle Planting Hope’s summer garage sale. The proceeds of this sale will fund their projects and bring essential goods to their community. We invite you to employ these practices through blessing the Chinle Planting Hope team.

Option 1: Donate one item a day, 40 items in all, to give to Chinle Planting Hope for their annual yard sale or give ten items a day!

Option 2: Donate 25 cents each day (a total of $10) to help transport the items to Chinle.

Hold on to your donation for the time being. As we continue to take precautionary measures with COVID-19, we will update on collection date and garage sale dates!

  • The Trinity Heights Assistance Program helps individuals or families who are in need of financial assistance, most often in the form of gas vouchers and grocery cards. Although we try our best to meet the most immediate need, we also seek to meet those needs that will best help these individuals or families in the long term.

The monies given through the Assistance Program come from members and regular attendees of our congregation regular attendees. Although we accept donations throughout the year, a special offering is gathered every year on Christmas Eve, especially for the Assistance Program. It is with this generosity that Trinity Heights is able to reach to those in need within our own community.

  • Through our connections with their local leadership, Trinity Heights helps to support the ministries of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and the United Campus Ministry at Northern Arizona University.

  • Each year, Trinity Heights pays annual apportionments to The United Methodist Church. “Together, through our connected congregations, we accomplish what no single church, district or annual conference ever could hope to do alone.” Apportionment dollars support the work of The United Methodist Church worldwide, including many designated mission and outreach funds and ministries of The United Methodist Church.

  • Flagstaff Family Food Center is a local gem within our own community that provides nutritional meals in a safe, pleasant environment and assists children with reading, homework, and social skills. One Sunday each month, a group of volunteers from Trinity Heights give their time to the Flagstaff Family Food Center and help with preparing food, setting up for meals, or serving.

  • We support our local Habitat for Humanity, including helping the organization to fund no-interest loans to families in our immediate neighborhoods to pay for needed improvements to existing homes, such as new roofs. Members of our church serve on Habitat teams, and others help to provide lunches for teams building homes.
