Let’s Build Something Good.

We don’t all think the same or come from the same place—but we are grounded in the same purpose: to follow Jesus together. Our leadership team is united by a commitment to Real Love. Real Change. For All., and by a shared calling to listen for Christ’s voice, serve with humility, and lead with love.

Leadership Team

At Trinity Heights, we use a Simplified Accountable Structure to help us live out that calling. This model helps us stay focused on Christ’s mission, make decisions with clarity, and remain accountable to one another and to the congregation. It reflects our belief that leadership in the church is not about power, but about faithful stewardship, mutual trust, and a willingness to be shaped by God and one another.

Below, you’ll find the people who have said “yes” to this work—leaders who are committed to guiding our church with integrity, prayer, and care for the whole community.

If you’d like to connect with the Leadership Team, please email leadership@thumc.com for general inquiries and accounting@thumc.com for financial matters.

Simplified Accountable Structure

  • Simplified Accountable Structure is a way of organizing leadership so we can stay focused on what matters most: following Jesus and living out our mission together.

Over time, we recognized the need for a structure that better supports clear communication, shared responsibility, and faithful action. This model helps streamline how we lead, making it easier to see where God is calling us, where attention is needed, and how we can respond together.

It brings greater clarity to roles and decision-making, opens lines of communication, and shines light on areas of ministry that might otherwise be overlooked. In doing so, it helps us lead with intention rather than assumption, and with alignment rather than fragmentation.

At its heart, this structure isn’t about efficiency for its own sake—it’s about removing distractions so we can keep our eyes on Christ and more fully live into our calling to love God, love our neighbor, and make new disciples.

  • In the church, accountability is not about control—it’s about trust.

Scripture reminds us that we are one body in Christ, connected to one another and called to care for each other with honesty and love. Accountability is one of the ways we live that out. It creates space for encouragement, correction, and growth, so that no one carries responsibility alone and no one leads in isolation.

When we hold one another accountable, we are choosing to be a community that listens deeply, acts with integrity, and remains open to the Spirit’s guidance. It helps ensure that our leadership reflects not just good intentions, but faithful action—grounded in love, shaped by grace, and oriented toward the good of the whole.

You can learn more about SAS Accountability here.

  • At Trinity Heights, leadership is both a calling and a responsibility. We believe God works through the community to raise up leaders who are grounded in faith, committed to the mission, and willing to serve with humility and integrity.

Each year, a nominations process invites prayerful discernment about who is being called to lead in this season. Potential leaders are identified through conversation, observation, and a shared sense of where gifts and calling meet the needs of the church.

Those who are nominated are invited into that calling, and leadership is formally elected at our annual Church Conference in the fall. This process reflects our belief that leadership is not self-appointed, but recognized and supported by the body of Christ.

In this way, we seek to ensure that our leadership remains accountable—not only in how decisions are made, but in how leaders are called, supported, and entrusted with this work.

If you feel God calling you to serve in leadership at THUMC (yay!), we’d love to hear from you! Please fill out this interest form , and spend some time in prayer over this decision. The Nominations Team will prayerfully review submissions and be in contact with you in August 2026 to share next steps.
