“ ‘There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?’

…Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing may be lost.” So they gathered them up, and from the fragments of the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten, they filled twelve baskets.”

John 6:9-13

The Story of Twelve Baskets

It began with a simple idea — the same one we see in the story of the boy who offered his small lunch to Jesus. When one person shares what they have, God multiplies it in ways none of us can predict.

Carrying that hope into 2025, we felt called to reach beyond our planned generosity and trust that God would do something more. That’s how the Twelve Baskets were born — twelve pathways for ongoing generosity, each designed to meet real needs and spark lasting change in our community.

What started as a dream quickly became a movement. Month by month, basket by basket, our congregation stepped forward with open hands and generous hearts. And by the year’s end, we had given more than $90,000 to further God’s Real Love, creating Real Change. For All.

Keep reading to discover the story behind each basket — and the lives touched along the way.
